Dr. Md Muktadir Billah is a Professor in the Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (MME) at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Central Florida (UCF), USA, under full funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), after completing his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from BUET with top academic distinctions. Dr. Billah's research focuses on multifunctional nanomaterials, thin films, photocatalysts, energy storage materials, and carbon nanotube (CNT)-reinforced composites. His work bridges experimental techniques with core materials science, aiming at applications in energy, electronics, and environmental sustainability. He leads the Billah Multifunctional Nanomaterials Group (BMNG), through which he has conducted extensive research and published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in leading international journals. He is the recipient of several notable honors, including the Amir Kushbahar Gold Medal. Since joining BUET in 2009, Dr. Billah has served in various academic and administrative roles and collaborated on industry-driven research projects. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to research, innovation, and societal advance-ment.
