ফাওয়াজ রব

Fawaz Rob is an international award winning artist. He grew up in sea side city of Chittagong and went on to graduate from San Francisco (USA), Disegno Academia di Firenze (Italy) and Dhaka University (MFA Charukala). He is adjunct assistant professor at North South University, and a full time intaglio printmaking artist. He is the first Bangladeshi to be published in the “California Journal of Printmakers”

Fawaz Rob’s art has been exhibited in Paris, Istanbul, Zagreb, Budapest, Côte d'Azur, Amsterdam, Kathmandu and Dhaka. During his career as a professor of architecture, he relentlessly instilled the value of art among architecture students and taught printmaking to hundreds of students. His exhibition “Dhaka, I love you” was celebrated by French art critics and was featured in ‘Le Parisian’. His seminal work ‘Long Walk home’ brought him the international award. His work has been archived at the International Printmaking Museum in Guanlan, China.

Fawaz Rob is a curator of ALEF studio and lives in Dhaka with his wife and daughter.
