Zahir Haider is a popular poet in Bangla Literature. He was born on 27 December, 1959 at Kalihati Thana in Tangail district. From his boyhood, he is inspired by himself to write poems. His first poem was published named Padma in a weekly journal Rajshahi Barta in 1976. After that he is continuing his writing till today. He was very interested to be a writer from his school life. He completed his graduation from Dhaka University. Now he is a professional writer and editor of many daily and weekly journals like the Daily United, Shatabdi, Mohakal and Bishwa Academy. Zahir Haider is really a renowned and prominent poet in Bangla Literature. He dominates in his time by writing some outstanding poems specially in eighty decade. He is very progressive and open hearted poet. He depicts in his poems patriotism, humanity, social changes and justice. Zahir Haider is poet who starts writing at early seventy decade but he can enable to shape in his poetry at the different way. He can influence many in his times but he is not influenced by others.
