ইতিহাসবিদ সৈয়দ মুহাম্মদ তৈফুরের লেখা গ্লিম্পসেস অব ওল্ড ঢাকা ঢাকার ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য নিয়ে রচিত সবচেয়ে নির্ভরযোগ্য গ্রন্থগুলোর একটি। প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয় ১৯৫৬ সালে, যেখানে ১৩শ শতক থেকে শুরু করে ঢাকার নগরজীবনের রাস্তাঘাট, প্রাসাদ, মসজিদ, ঘাট এবং সামাজিক জীবনের বিবর্তন তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।
