1. Stegosaurus means "Roof Lizard" because of the plates on their back!
2. Those back plates could grow up to 2 feet tall and wide! Scientists think they helped control body temperature
3. The four tail spikes have a special name: "thagomizer"! They could swing their tail as defense
4. Despite their large body, Stegosaurus had a brain the size of a walnut—but they were smarter than people think!
5. Stegosaurus lived about 155-150 million years ago during the Jurassic period
6. They were peaceful plant-eaters but could defend themselves if needed—just like Spike!
