Swapna Liddle’s abiding love for the history of Delhi has translated into a PhD as well as several books and articles. She also seeks to raise awareness about the city’s historic precincts through her work for the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage. She has written Delhi: 14 Historic Walks, Chandni Chowk: The Mughal City of Old Delhi, Connaught Place and the Making of New Delhi, and has edited and annotated a translation of Sair-ul-Manazil.
