Currently consulting as a Cultural Strategist for a U.S.-based event aesthetics company, I bring narrative depth to diaspora-focused events — translating rituals, textures, and traditions into powerful design-led experiences. My work reshapes how memory and belonging are performed through space, material, and symbolism — particularly for South Asian communities navigating identity in the U.S. This consulting chapter is rooted in over 23 years of academic leadership and global thought work. As Former Dean of Liberal Arts & Student Affairs, I helped build the early cultures of Ashoka and Presidency Universities — not just their campuses, but their philosophies. During my journey, I’ve mentored students and faculty alike, developing inclusive pedagogies, student-centred governance models, and interdisciplinary curricula that continue to shape futures. My academic voice extends beyond the classroom: – As a BBC Producer and Editor at ABP, I have worked on narrative design and storytelling at scale. – As a published author of three books and regular columnist, I explore higher education, gender, culture, and political thought with clarity and nuance. – As an alumna of SOAS (UK), Michigan State University (USA), and Presidency College (India), and recipient of multiple international fellowships, I’ve lived and learnt across cultures — a foundation that now informs my global strategy work. At the core, I remain a mentor and meaning-maker — committed to building systems, spaces, and stories that are just, inclusive, and alive with imagination.
