The writer Mahbuba Shama was born on 16th October just when the bright sun rose on the east. Her father Abdur Rahman Sarker is a businessman and her mother Halima Sarker is a homemaker. She has a great interest to write from her childhood and thus her writings got published in Juvenile Voice Magazine, WIL Magazine, Prothom Alo, The Daily Star and Ashvamegh Indian Journal of English Literature. Her research articles of English Literature have got published in BUP Journal of Bangladesh University of Professionals, UITS Journal of University of Information Technology and Sciences and Crossings: ULAB Journal of English Studies of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Her articles have also saw light outside Bangladesh, namely in The Golden Line, Ashvamegh Indian Journal of English Literature, International Journal of English Language, Literature and Humanities (IJELLH) and International Journal of Advanced Research (IJAR). She has also participated as a paper presenter in the symposium of Daffodil University in January 2017. She has won the best paper presenter award in Ekush Shatake Nazrul Conference in 2017. After finishing her O’ and A’ Levels, she had finished her Honours (Dual Major) in English Literature and Linguistics and then her Masters in English Literature with thesis from North South University. The youngest among her three sisters, Shama is currently working as a Lecturer at the Department of English at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) from the first of January, 2018 after working for 5 semesters at Uttara University (UU). Her future plan is to obtain the prestigious PhD degree in English Literature. This writer who has a great passion for writing points out that Feminism, Postcolonialism and Marxism are her areas of interest. She remains a voice against the oppression and mistreatment of coloured people as well as all the females all around the world. This book is about women who have suffered misery in this world. It is an attempt to throw light on the psychological and social turmoil of women and how they are dealing with it in this 21st century. This is the first short story book by the writer.
